Mailgun is currently absent from AI search recommendations in the Email Infra category.
We ran category-recommendation prompts in the Email Infrastructure space against AI search surfaces — primarily Google AI Overview. Mailgun surfaced in zero of them.
This is not a "we haven't checked yet" result. The queries ran. The responses came back. Mailgun did not appear.

Meanwhile, in Email Infra:
- 25 Resend mentions in the same category
- 25 Postmark mentions in the same category
- 25 SendGrid mentions in the same category
- 25 Loops mentions in the same category
When buyers ask AI to recommend a tool in this category, these are the names that come up. Mailgun's does not.
What this means
AI-search visibility is binary today. You're in the response or you're not.
There's no slow climb, no gradient. Either you've earned the citation or you're invisible. That makes the gap from invisible-to-visible a single concrete project — not a years-long content slog.
The window is wide open today. SEO took five years to professionalize. AI-search optimization will take eighteen months. Brands that act before the index matures bank cheap visibility that gets expensive once everyone catches on.
